Gaston Memorial Hospital Laboratory is committed to providing the highest quality of laboratory services. The hospital-based, clinical laboratory operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to provide continuous coverage for all patient and healthcare provider testing needs within the communities we serve.
The laboratory offers a full range of clinical testing and pathology services, reporting more than 2.6 million patient results per year. Testing is performed by credentialed Medical Technologists and Medical Laboratory Technicians, using state-of-the-art technology under the direction of Board Certified Pathologists.
The laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), and is Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) certified.
