State of the Art Technology
The GMH neurosciences program at Gaston Memorial Hospital offers a range of services rivaling much larger metropolitan facilities. The completion of state-of-the art surgical and radiology suites gives patients the benefits of the latest technology including deep-brain stimulation. Image-guided surgery and three-dimensional intra-operative imaging to increase precision are among the care options now available.

Expert Care and Professionalism
A team of neurosurgeons, neurologists, neuro-radiologists, nurses and technologists provide expert care that patients once had to drive distances to obtain.   In fact, Gaston Memorial Hospital is among an elite group of four hospitals in the state offering gliasite radiation therapy.  This new approach to brain tumor therapy allows patients to receive high-dose radiation in the spot where the brain tumor was removed without damaging surrounding healthy tissue.
