Transfusion Services                  
Blood transfusion service is administrated by GMH Department of Laboratory Medicine and staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with certified Medical Technologists.  For consultative services or assistance in procurement of products, a department supervisor and pathologist are available. 

All blood products and components are received from the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas and American Red Cross.  All products are from voluntary, non-paid donors.
