The Nightingale Award
CaroMont Health's
Highest Nursing Achievement Award
The annual recipient of CaroMont Health's Nightingale Award is selected from each department's Award for Nursing Excellence award recipients, chosen by their peers as the nurse in their unit or department that exemplifies nursing excellence. The selection is made by the leaders of the Council for Nursing Excellence (CNE),a committee of previous Nightingale recipients, and Kathleen Harwell, RN, Vice President, Patient Care Services and Chief Nurse Executive. The Nightingale recipient emulates the spirit of Florence Nightingale in nursing excellence, professionalism, community service, and continuing education.
