 Gaston Memorial Hospital featured PBS Series Retirement Revolution: Healthcare Puzzle.

Gaston Memorial Hospital Nationally Recognized for Quality  Gaston Memorial earned Top Performer status by receiving the third highest score among all participating hospitals throughout the United States, and the highest score of any North Carolina hospital. The Hospital Quality Incentive Demonstration project was launched by the Charlotte-based Premier health care alliance and the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Learn More. 


CaroMont Candlelight Run
CaroMont Health is hosting the inaugural CaroMont Candlelight 8K (with optional 4K and one-mile fun walk) on Saturday, Oct. 24. Proceeds will cover the cost of short-term medication needs for patients enrolled in HealthNet Gaston, a county-wide initiative that provides medical assistance to low income, uninsured Gaston County residents. The race begins at 8 p.m. on the Gaston Memorial Hospital campus, and the course will be lined with luminaries. You may register for the race at www.caromontcandlelight8k.com. Runners registered by Friday, Oct. 9 will receive a free commemorative scrub shirt.

In addition to the race, CaroMont Health is hosting a Fall Festival at 6 p.m. on race day. So dress the kids in costume and take part in games and fun.
